The Monogram B-17G

Will be fifty (50) years old in 2025. Just saying…

Gotta love those old Monogram kits!

First kit I ever saw. I was hooked instantly… maybe I should finish mine in 2025 🤔

Sounds like a splendid idea!

I’ve built 2 so far…. Both are no longer with us…. I suppose it’s time for a 3rd… :hmm:

Hmm maybe. It was alot easier to build when you could display it on your bedroom ceiling.

I remember building several 1/72 scale Monogram bomber kits…

B-17 Fortress - believe it or not, I tried to replicate the shot up version (Shep Paine?) Used heated nail points to create bullet holes on fuselage.
B-52 Stratofortress
B-26 Marauder
B-15 Mitchell. I do recall building the 1/68th scale Mitchell as well.

The only Monogram bomber kit I never did was the B-24 Liberator. Shocking, I know…….

Cool! I do like the B-17, such a great looking aircraft.

I've still yet to build a four-engined bomber... not even a Lancaster... :bag: :hmm:
