Dragon 1/144 scale Tornado F3 pair

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Two kits in one box. 111 Squadron "90th Anniversary"

The kit

Size of kit once built up...

Kit comes with 2 different markings for same 90th Anniversary scheme

Undersides

Sidewinders are on inside pylon next to wing tank. Look for black tip...

Side by side..

If you thought doing stencils on an F-4 Phantom is stencil hell? Nope.... not by a long shot. Here's why....

No #*&^$@ing way I'm applying them. I will go blind within 5 minutes.

It was a fun and very challenging build. Lots of fiddly parts. Broke 2 sidewinders off the sprue trees.

Would I build another 1/144 scale a jet aircraft kit? No way. Waaay too small for my liking.

Terrific job, Tom. The are looking great. I agree regarding the stencils!

Me too… not really graceful or beautiful in its’ lines, but exceptionally functional in design.

Always nice to see an F3 being made, even if you do need an electron microscope to see it! A really nice pair of builds Tom :shoutout: :shoutout:

Stencils for a 1/144 jet! I'd laugh and pass on it like you did.
Cheers,
