Testors Supermarine S6B

Here's one that has never been seriously posted. It was built so many years ago now; maybe the very early 1990s if I had to guess. Of course, it's the ancient ex-Hawk model, first released in 1948, so yes, it's even older than Lyle and me! 
The airplane was the first to fly 400 mph. I added a seat and some other cockpit detail, as well as anchoring fittings on the float ends. When first built, I left off the crude canopy and decals. I thought that eventually I would find a piece of plastic packaging that had some shape I could adapt in its place. Well, after 30 years of looking at it on the bottom shelf of one of my display cabinets, I got it out a year or so ago and finished it up, so to speak.
The canopy still looks like crap and I managed to knock off several rigging wires. I thought that I could finesse them back but that was a wash too. 
So, I just told myself "it's done!"
It looks kinda dumb to have a float-plane just sitting there on dry floats.
Maybe someone can suggest a better way to display it?
Aww, thats quite enough pics for a poor looking model! Lol, I've noticed that the galvanized metal strips that I used for bracing/rigging work have begun to show rust spots; that's how bleeding old this one is!
