Following days of intense online speculation and rumors within the hobby and collectibles community, Lionel, LLC has officially confirmed that it is set to be acquired by Round 2, a portfolio company of Praesidian Capital.

The two giants of the hobby and collectibles industry will eventually merge to form a new entity known as the Lionel Brands Group.

Train hobby is very expensive hobby but I do admire the work train hobbyists build a rail layout. Some are incredibly elaborate enough to make your head spin. I do enjoy seeing them in person when we used to have a train show years ago.
