Airfix 1/35 Ferret

Post by Stuart »

After building four Spitfires on the trot, I could do with building something different - I'd also like to clear off the 6 or so 1/35 kit I have in WIP. So I thought I'd tackle the Airfix Ferret I built up last December. I primed it last weekend and I''ve just started slapping some Green on - NATO IRR Green from the Hataka Modern British AFV's set.

As my uncle served in Cyprus with the Royal Green Jackets, I thought I'd do one in the Cyprus scheme (no that's not him)...

...and and add a bit of stowage to it, like these ones on patrol in Aden.

Cheers!

Very nice project! I so want to get both the Mk.1 and Mk.2 for my collection.

I hope you do Stik, It'd be great to see you build one. I'll almost certainly get another as I have some nice interior and exterior detail sets from scorpion models that I alas got to late for this build.

Nice! Are you going to name it? frank Burns comes to mind…

I've not used Hataka branded paints before, Stuart! What are your impressions? That looks like a wonderful project!

Well I have a drawer full of their paint sets so... :lashed: They've been my go to paints for years Bruce - great paints for brush painting. Their metallics suck however...
