1/72 Hellcats(Dragon-Eduard)

Got the Dragon kit finished, others to follow shortly.

Marked as LT Richard E. Stambooks bird, VF-27, aboard the USS Princeton, 1944.

Another wingfold!!! Sweet!

So how does the Dragon kit stack up to the Eduard offering? The World Wonders...

Better detail...especially with the main gears. A bit more difficult to build....seams in the gearbay areas that are impossible-ish to take care of, and had to scratch a new part (big blocky looking thing with lightening holes) in the gearbay/wingfold. If ya want a trouble free build, go for the Eduard...if ya want a wingfold, go for the Dragon!

Sweet. A pic of this Hellcat with that Judy for size comparison would be kinda nice...and all...just sayin...

Eduard "Profipack", marked as LT Wm. C. Moseley, VF-1, USS Yorktown, 1944.
I've always been a fan of "spray painted" #s on the nose of Navy birds, but this is the first one I've done.
