Special Hobby G.50bis Freccia-finally!

Post by lawman56 »

Hello all. Well, it's finally finished. Thanks for being so patient as I plugged along. I have a couple more pics to add to the WIP, then I'll probably add a link to it. By the time it was finished, I'd had to create new wing lights, made some antenna insulators, used EZ Line to create an antenna wire, and stuck myself numerous times on those stupid straight pins, (next time I blunt the dang things!) :scream:

Work in progress can be found here

In the last photo of the cockpit, you can see one of the insulators I made. I'll explain how, (I cheated  ), in my additions to the WIP. For those curious, I posted a tutorial on my base construction under the Figures and Dioramas WIP thread.

Suggestions, comments, monetary donations, etc...always welcome!

Thanks for looking!

Looks good from here Joe, love that Camo work! And, to steal a line I heard from a former instructor, "you're not a true graphic designer until you've cut yourself with an Exacto knife. I'm thinking it applies equally to modelers.

btw, all 20 of us in that class were "true graphic designers" before the first semester was out, doing old-school mockups on paper. :whiteflag:

Thanks Vance. My wife likes to say that if I haven't made myself bleed, I must be doing something wrong.

Apparently that applies to modeling, model railroading, home improvement, yard work, car repair........

Great model of an ugly airplane. The weathering, the base, it all looks great.

Great job on an unusual subject... Display base is cool too..
Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley
