Westland Wyvern S.4 (late), Trumpeter 1/48

Post by AIRFIXER »

Oh my god!
Is she just ugly or is she really ugly? Or maybe just British?
Anyway, one simply has to love her, 'cos she's got character.

The Wyvern is one of the less known types that served with the Royal Navy in the 1950's, and she's never been the Navy's golden child. Nonetheless, she's impressive by apparition.
I was quite surprised to see this kit having been released by Trumpeter.

Built straight out of the box except for a Pavla Martin Baker Mk.2H bang seat.

Ok, so maybe I am weird or something, but I think that theWyvern is a beautifull airplane. And you made a great model of it.

Not likely to ever be prom queen, that is for sure! However, you did fix her up real nice (as we say.)
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Really nice build, looks very real!

And with a different background I would not be able to tell if it would be the real thing or a the real thing reduced to 1/48th size.. :)
