John, what method did you use to "flatten" those tires? Those areas look very well done and quite consistent.

Thank you, Gary! I used coarse sandpaper (320#) taped to a piece of glass from a photo frame. And then rubbed the wheel over the sandpaper, careful to keep the orientation uniform during each stroke.

Playing around with cowling guns... I've drilled the cooling holes and added a wire.

The seat is finished with the 1/48 scale harnesses. The cockpit tub has been given a base coat of RLM 66 Dark Grey and chipped a little with hairspray but still needs more paint work.
