Tom, I feel you, sincerely—because I have been there. I have felt my grip on the model building project slip away, and there is nothing I can do to pick it back up again. I also know that little bit of relief that comes from letting go of something that is no longer working, something that is no longer viable. And I think back to something Lyle the Wise One once said: "It's only a model." Yes. It is only a model. It takes courage and integrity to let go, not to put too fine a philosophical point on this. Ended up trashing out of anger because of too many delicate flaps kept popping off. Screw it all!


I feel better now releasing all that anger by crushing in half and million pieces.

Feels very familiar!

Absolutely correct. It is only a model. Since I crushed it, not once I dwelled on it. Instant gratification it was out of my misery.

It is much easier to understand the glue-bombs and messy work we did as "yutes"!

Excuse me, but I must point out that Section 72-8.1A of the Scale Modelers Regulations states that--and I quote: " A model with recessed panel lines may not be referred to as 'vintage' or 'classic'
