Nice - back when a naval air wing was interesting, and yes, the A-7 would have been cool to see - Love that aircraft. I love the film 'Final Countdown', if for no other reason than to see all the different aircraft types, in full high-viz.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your trade in the Navy. Where you anything to do with the aircraft or were you more on the ship side of things?

There is an area of the Florida Panhandle known as the "forgotten coast". It goes from Apalachicola west towards Panama City Beach. there is a pennisula that is in Cape San Blas. Quiet, really quiet. We rented a vacation house there some years ago. Anyway, there is/was a lighthouse out on the eastern edge of the pennisula. if you google the "old cape san blas lighthouse location" you can see where it was. The ocean is unrelenting as it has taken a couple hundred yards of beach, so much so that they moved it off the pennisula into the town area. This is the area where it was located a move or two prior to relocation into town.

That's too bad. I love light houses. Fortunately, I live in Michigan. I think we have more of them than any other state.

Went on a ride through the countryside today enjoying the last of the fall colors (saw a few flurries too). Saw this hunting blind and thought it would make a good photo.

That's a fantastic shot Chris - the light you captured on those trees and the hide is superb. Great composition too!
