I looked at another Dragon Jeep kit with exact instruction guide but with more accurate parts assignment to where. Now I know what to do. I even noticed other parts not listed in this kit’s instruction guide that should have been noted to begin with.

I can answer a few questions on your last post. The .50 only has one barrel length, there is no long and short barrel, only one standard size. Those handles on rear corners are standard on all Willys jeeps. As far as the retaining plate on the spare tire goes, I can’t say anything about that. The spare is usually attached by a few bolts to a mounting point on the rear of the jeep. Anything additional is a non standard fitting added on.

Great photo reference. I do have an extra spare tire from the kit.

Another observation concerning Olive Drab color. Some are green variant , some are greenish brown variant. My thought is paint base coat Olive Drab then go back.with Faded Olive Drab lightly. Thankfully, I have Dust Effect weathering product I can use last.

This particular jeep was used on the Western Front.

One question... do the floorboards typically are scuffed enough to expose bare metal underneath the paint? If so, I'm thinking of dry brushing silver up front seats and rear seats floors. Can't find any images except restored pics.

As far as OD goes, pick your preferred shade and go with it. Weathering will alter the paint, so being too obsessed with an exact shade really ends up being a moot point. As far as wear of paint on the floorboards goes, I imagine that a long serving jeep will have some wear. Mud and dust tracked in by occupants will cover most of that up anyways
