Very nice Monty. The Voodoo always had colorful markings against the ADC gray. Even with the new Kitty Hawk kit out, I still see more RevellGram Voodoos being built, as the new Kitty Hawk kit sucks bones.

Man, you're just killing it with these century series jets. I really like your painting and finishing style too. Weathering is minimal, but they still have a lot of character. Beautiful stuff.

Thank you all. I am definitely going to get the other birds in the Series. I was thinking of moving away from the subject a bit I decided i'll move on. I have an Revell -Monogram F-84F half baked, and a Trumphy F-100C still in the box. I might have to go with the Thunderstreak first. political reason: Revell and Academy distributor for Indonesia is holding a show next month and the want me to contribute for the display section. Will participate but that means getting the '84 versus the Hun.

Borg, for the painting, I used Tamiya sky grey. used a lot of pre-shading with Tamiya flat black and post-shading with Tamiya neutral grey. Here is a before-after photo. the port wing still has the pre-shading lines. while the starboard side has gotten the basic Tamiya sky grey and a post shade of neutral grey.



Here are the bottle of paints. what I forgot to document is how i use a very thin mix of Tamiya neutral grey on top of the sky grey on some of the panels to give it some variations. so it doesn't look flat and boring.



The blue tail was straight using Tamiya Flat Blue. lots of masking but it was simple and straight forward



The metal parts were treated like the rest of the aircraft. preshading of black and basic Model Master Steel, then a post shade of MM Steel+Tamiya gun metal



I used oils to weather the area with a mix of Burn Umber and Lamp Black. I use burnt red and burnt blue from Tamiya Weathering Master set to get some of the tint. you can see the tail that is weathered and the twin exhaust without weathering.

I saw the Kittyhawk kit the other day. Not sure about you guys, but i think their version lacks alot of detail. Its great though it has recessed panes. I was comparing the exhaust parts and really appreciated the rivets on the R/M version.
