What's the quality of the fit? Not too gappy?

Not too "gappy" at all, if anything the problem is ridges, and even they aren't terrible, some minor sanding and blending. The only real gaps that I encountered were on the wings as you can see some of the filler on the top of the wing. I prefer using the Vallejo Acrylic putty, but I am dying to get my hands on some of the Perfect Plastic Putty from Deluxe. I occasionally will use Bondo body filler if I have large areas that I need to repair.CallSignOWL wrote:What's the quality of the fit? Not too gappy?

whaaat? Why did you toss yours??!?!JimD wrote:Looking great!
I threw mine in the trash last night. :( I'm buying another. It's the best kit from Revell I've built yet (that's 5) in terms of fit.
The Perfect Plastic Putty is almost functionally identical to the Vallejo. The bonus with it though being it's easier to get and cheaper. They both shrink though. So I generally use it to clean up rough panel lines between joins. I too was all about the Bondo, but I've been filling in a lot of inappropriate molded detail in my A-6 with CA and baking soda and I must say I may not ever fill anything with anything else again.

So, a real quick update on this build. I have put this build on temporary hold for a little bit. I recently had a family member pass and I need to devote my time to working on a special build that I will be presenting to a cousin. This will be a representation of an A-10C from the Idaho Air National Guard in memory of my uncle who worked in the engine shop for the A-10's in Boise.

Really sorry to hear that and it's totally understandable.jelliott523 wrote:So, a real quick update on this build. I have put this build on temporary hold for a little bit.
