To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Cool! I want a C-97, that way I can more fully complete my line of US Air Force transport aircraft. I'm keeping my eyes peeled myself, so Lyle, go ahead and pull the trigger. If you decide later not to build it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands if I don't get one beforehand.
I know, I'm not helping either.....

We are modelers - the same in spirit, in hunger to insanely buy newly released kits, hustlers in hiding our stash from our better halves and experts in using garbage as replacements for after-market parts.

Back on topic, for the moment. I haven't opened ebay yet!
Cockpit done, I think.

Still a few bits to stuff in, but moving slowly. Waiting for the paint order to arrive.

Thanks. Now trying to get a couple of not-so-great-fitting cabin windows. Some fun now!BlackSheep214 wrote:The pit looks great, Lyle!

Well, that was close. Dropped a cabin window. About 1/4" square. Finally found when my desk lamp reflected off of it on the floor. Then I put it on my desktop - on the green pad. Like to never found it. Man, that is one clear piece of plastic.

I have some doubts that this single bucket of paint will be enough for this large kit...
