Re: Bandai 1/72 A wing
Belive me Sir! Never say it, if I don't saw it. The Bandai 1/72 X-wing better than the Fine Molds 1/48. I guarantee ... Maybe the 72 Faclon is the "winner takes it all", but the Revell re-boxed it, in theri master series.Stikpusher wrote:Now I have seen several of the Fine Molds Star Wars kits, and they are beautiful. If the Bandai kits are better they must be quite impressive.

Looks good! I know what you mean about thinking you are discovering an incredible new technique that no one else has... to find out there are videos on Youtube featuring the technique... which means that the technique has been around for some time now, lol. Just remember you figured out what was best for you. For your project. Also your technique of black base is an old film industry technique (three of the first X-Wings from 1974, the TIE fighters, and the Falcon were painted black base/black primer)

And now the best part. Masking. And spraying red. I mixed the red color, from three colors. I think I catch the good color.

And a little mor work on the hangar bay. Start looking good!

Looks brilliant! Great jobs with both masking and red color creation! Your version looks so much more like the actual filming miniature! The base is coming along too. Are you going to perhaps increase contrast between the white of the ship and the lighter gray of the base or is that close to the final color???
