Thanks Kenny, I had bought an Yahu instrument panel and gun barrells for my planned/upcoming P-47 build in the same order, but they were of course no available a month ago, hence the long waiting times... :clockwatch:

Thanks reminding me Bruce! :-)

The good news is, I will be on vacation the entire next week and despite a backlogg of millions of things at home, my humble plan is to spend one full day at my bench one day next week!

Enjoy your time off. And if you get caught up early, you'll be able to enjoy two full days of work on the bench! :lashed: :shoutout:

Finally work continues with the Fw190 !

Today it was time to do those things that are not my absolute favorite tasks in a build.. in other words masking the canopy, using the P-masks black vinyl masks.. Not only on the "outside" but I masked also the inside of the cockpit, first time ever.

The Revell kit comes with two different type of canopies.. but hey, there is more! Both canopy types have two different versions depending if you want an open canopy or closed! My build will be "open doors"... But there was a minute of horror, after masking I thought while test-fitting that I had masked the "closed"-version canopy!! But luckily this was not the case, just a minor error in my test-fitting....

I must say, even if using readily cut masks, the work was not amusing.. Especially because some of the masking pieces did not really match the canopy.. :ballbat:

But after an hour (!) of struggling, I finally managed to mask everything. During this process, I had to remove the masking a couple of time, and holy malony, the glue is really really strong. I must say, I prefer the classic Tamiya tape, it's good. It's just so good...

Kari, I’m not a fan of doing work on canopies like masking and painting, either, to tell the truth. For me, it’s because I’m always scared that I’m going to screw it up somehow. Anyway, you did good! And I’m glad to see you got some time in to work on this one. I’m really excited to see how she shapes-up. Coming along well so far!

Hi, Kari—looks great... I am curious which areas did not fit because the end results look like a great fit. Although this is entirely based upon your hour long struggle—are there size or shape issues or both...
