Ken, Torben, John—Thank you all for your comments.
I am following the three of you—I know Ken’s Corsair is standing proud, that Torben trimmed his stash (not his mustache) last year and John’s Corsair wheel wells are chipped.
I keep thinking about what Torben advises John to do about sanding edges, in a selfish way (apologies) as this feathering is a technique I use often.
I am sure others do this as well or do they?
Do do or do not...
After I re “do” the white, I will add the spiral mask.
I will airbrush a mist coat of white to lock the mask edges in place.
I am not sure I have seen other modeler-maskers do this here or not.
Radu advises using Maskol in his tutorial.

The details, and the thinned to scale edges, are nice!
It was unexpectedly a surprise to see parts fit quite well—
I read two online reviewers who stated the fit was below par for a FM kit.
I don’t know! My experience so far is the opposite:
Minimal glue, higher tolerances.

In the long run, most reviews are quite subjective, based upon the reviewer’s biases and experience. EspecIlly when they say thing like “sub par” for a kit of XYZ brand.

Good point about reviews, Carlos—and reviewers. The design of the model kit is outstanding. Parts fit is much tighter which is great because I can finesse the paint job and assembly side by side instead of one after another.
