Sorry for not being in here as of late Bruce. I've been busy with real life and trying to get the Arado finished....which turns out I've got a wee bit more work to do on it but it should go pretty quick.

Thank you, Gents—and welcome aboard Mustang Joe. I am pushing to get this one out the door right quick—and perhaps pushing too hard. Shortly after I took the shot I took apart the wings and tail, to start working on some scribing. There was just enough pressure in my grip to launch the fuselage into the air and against the wall. Nothing cool like stabbed into the wall by the point end, but I definitely broke the seal between the top and bottom halves and knocked the sculpted base I made for the pitot tube off completely. Fortunately this accident caused a clean enough break so I sanded and redid the shape, glued and puttied the sides—with the caveat that I would probably do pencil scribing and not sharpened point engraving. This took my Sunday evening to complete, but I believe I am 90 percent back in business. Maybe 95 percent.

The seam lines are faired in together perfectly.

yep...what they have said. I can add nothing
but, I like it
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: Monogram 1/72 US Navy A-5A Vigilante.
Thank you, kind gentlemen. Do you remember the miniseries with Paul Giamatti as John Adams. After watching that I spent an entire week adding “sir” to every spoken sentence. “Good day, sir,” “Pass the salt, sir,” “Over easy, sir,” “Go jump in a lake, sir.” Anyway, once again: “Thank you, kind sirs.”
I was thinking about the way this image feels—a different plane, surface finish, yes, yes—

The feeling of the materials joined together—
Having thought about the challenge of adding engraved details to the sides I am going to try a different approach. Usually the primer goes down first. I decided to draw on the details fairly well, but not rigorously perfect. Where called for, I used the adhesive edge of a square Post-It to make straight lines. I used an .05mm mechanical pencil (Pentel Super Polymer lead) to sketch the vertical rib framework, then switched to a .03 Molotov cocktail marking pen in black to sketch the paneling lines in. Again, I offer these notes only as I am exploring an idea which I feel may work; however there is always the possibility of failure, I freely admit that, sirs! Forsooth!
I do not have a photo yet, however, I made a sketch of the in-flight fueling probe covering sections—

I plan to spray a light coat of either white or grey primer. What I hope will happen is this will fix the marker lines as well as reduce them somewhat for me to use the lines as a scribing template. We shall see, sir. We... shall... see.
I only did one side, so if this goes, uh, “sideways,” I can still sand everything down again.

Bruce, again a cool looking, very nice sketch!
May I ask, what pencils, ink, pens etc do you use to create such good looking drawings ? Or is it all with a computer made ??
