No worries, Kevin. Here are some behind the scenes photos taken at NAS Key West during filming. What is exceptionally badass was the idea to convert a B-25 into a flying camera platform. Charlie Sheen’s Dad Martin Sheen is in one of these photos, if that clue helps.

Also thanks to Marius who earlier this evening in Germany identified the red-orange on the tail fin. My plan remains to use yellow orange as a base and add a touch of red to obtain a close enough match rather then buy a readymade equivalent.



I took the Vigilante to work today, hoping to get a few minutes in at lunch. I was running late and forgot the kit and boxes were in my backseat. Even though I parked under a tree, when I ran back thirty minutes later the model was really warm. Thankfully the Hobby Gods were kind to me today and this is one mistake I plan not to make again.

Also yes, please note these are pieces from the Trumpeter kit. I am fitting them to the Monogram, because they look good and I am able to more easily pick up burners for the Trumpeter kit. I have only seen one Monogram Vigilante from the Sixties on eBay since starting this project.

G-10 test shot / orange over red

I am also scratch building the pilot’s ejection seat. The kit molded pilot and seat are definitely sized smaller than 1/72. First sketch is seat back. Milliput job I guess.



Second sketch is the seat (lower seat?) itself.
